Associate Solicitor – Serious Injury Claims

Location: Wakefield-Hybrid (flexible working) | Salary: £49,600 – £72,000 DOE | Full-time

We are recruiting an experienced Associate Solicitor to manage high-value claimant serious injury claims. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead complex cases, mentor colleagues, and contribute to a growing team in a supportive, hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a portfolio of serious injury claims (mainly RTA-based) with case values from £150k–£5m+.
  • Provide expert advice on liability, causation, quantum, and rehabilitation.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, statements, and schedules of loss.
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary experts: medical, care, forensic, and counsel.
  • Mentor junior colleagues and support team development.
  • Maintain excellent client care and regular communication.
  • Support business development activities and professional networking.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor or Fellow of CILEx with 8+ years PQE (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven track record in managing serious injury claims as lead fee earner.
  • Strong technical litigation knowledge and court experience.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising colleagues.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
  • Committed to high-quality client service in a target-driven environment.
