About the Role
A specialist legal practice in Manchester is looking for a Pre-Litigation Fee Earner to join its growing Housing Disrepair team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience managing a legal caseload – whether in housing disrepair, personal injury, or civil litigation.
This role offers flexible hybrid working, with just one day a week in the office and four days working from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of Housing Disrepair claims in the pre-litigation stage
- Draft Letters of Claim and manage protocol correspondence
- Review evidence including disrepair reports and tenancy documentation
- Liaise with clients, landlords, and third parties professionally
- Negotiate settlements and prepare cases for litigation when necessary
- Maintain accurate records using the case management system
- Ensure compliance with legal protocols and internal processes
What We’re Looking For
- Experience managing your own caseload (HDR, PI, or civil litigation preferred)
- Understanding of pre-action protocols is beneficial
- Litigation experience is helpful but not essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
- A commitment to delivering excellent client service
