About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Lead (Volume Claims) to support our OIC and Fast Track RTA Fee Earners. You will play a critical role in technical supervision, providing guidance, training, and oversight of pre- and post-litigated cases up to Β£25K.
This is a hybrid role with only 1 day in the office and 4 days working from home, offering flexibility while leading a team in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical referral point for OIC and Fast Track litigated and non-litigated cases.
- Ensure complex cases are identified and referred to the appropriate liaison.
- Conduct file reviews and provide technical supervision to maintain high legal standards.
- Develop and implement litigation tactics to optimize case outcomes.
- Provide coaching and training to Fee Earners, identifying skills gaps and mentoring team members.
- Work closely with management to enhance processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with external partners, including Counsel and Costs Draftsmen, as needed.
- Support the cost process and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to strategic projects and assist in implementing business-wide initiatives.
What Weβre Looking For:
β Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (4+ years PQE preferred).
β Strong experience in litigated personal injury claims, including OIC, Fast Track, Part 7 & Part 8 claims.
β Proven ability to mentor, supervise, and coach legal professionals.
β Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to case strategy.
β Strong regulatory knowledge and experience in handling customer complaints.
β Ability to work in a target-driven environment while maintaining high client care standards.
β Proficiency in case management systems, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Desirable Skills:
β Previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
β Strong numerical and analytical skills with experience in MI reporting.
β A resilient, self-motivated leader who thrives in a fast-changing environment.
β Experience managing department-wide training and competency programs.
