Experienced EL/PL Litigation Executive – Personal Injury
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Sector: Personal Injury – Employers’ & Public Liability (EL/PL)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (1-hour lunch)
Salary: Up to £50000 yearly (based on experience)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
The Opportunity
On behalf of a highly respected, Legal 500-recognised law firm, we’re recruiting an Experienced EL/PL Litigation Executive to join their busy Newcastle office. This is not an entry-level role—applicants must have at least 1 year of hands-on experience running a litigated EL/PL caseload and a solid working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
The successful candidate will be joining a team that values proactive case management, strong litigation skills, and a client-first mindset.
Role Overview

Manage a caseload of Employers’ and Public Liability claims (fast-track, non-portal and portal-exit)

Issue and progress Part 7 proceedings through to settlement or trial

Assess liability disputes, gather supporting evidence, and advise clients accordingly

Draft Schedules of Special Damages and instruct medical experts

Value damages including PSLA, loss of earnings, and care/assistance

Prepare trial bundles and briefs to Counsel

Liaise with courts, solicitors, insurers, Counsel, and clients

Report regularly to clients and internal stakeholders
What We’re Looking For

Minimum 1 year of EL/PL personal injury case handling, including Part 7 litigation

Strong grasp of relevant legislation and CPR procedures

Confident in issuing court proceedings and managing litigation to trial

Excellent drafting, organisation, and time-management skills

Personable, professional, and client-focused
